Panasonic's
call center facility, a State of Virginia
award winning project, followed a "green"
course from site selection to interior finishes.
Substantially all the products used in the
60,000 sq.ft. building are recycled or recyclable
and overall pay homage to a soft touch/high-tech
concept. Overall, this facility reflects
the client's principle that encourages an
individual's ability and creativity, while
using technology to support efficiency and
productivity. Asymmetrical atriums provide
natural light at main and rear entrances.
A Zen garden, a cultural link between the
US and Japan, greets employees and visitors
at the reception area. A central core accommodates
both support and amenity areas. Representatives
work in versatile team areas with ergonomic,
task specific workstations that emphasize
collaboration. A low profile raised floor
throughout the facility contributes to substantial
saving in electrical and telecommunication
installation costs.
