Intuit, a "Best of Class" facility, is illustrative of how a facility with minimal architectural demand and a very low budget can be successful in creating a user-friendly environment. Intuit's building requirements included the need for a 7x24 facility that could seat approximately 2100 agents during their peak season and the ability to utilize only part of the facility during the slower off-season the client experienced. During the building planning and design stages the facility was zoned to help minimize the HVAC, lighting and telecommunications costs during off-peak times of the year. The building also featured high ceilings and above average window heights which allow natural light and views to penetrate into the workspaces. This facility (approximately 75,000 sq.ft.) was completed in 106 days, from ground breaking to answering the first call. Value engineering was performed throughout the construction process.
